“One should make use of the experience one had gained by facing various changes to win whatever changes in the year 2022, “ the Prime Minister said in his New Year message.
“Year 2021 being an year in which the country experienced a pandemic, Sri Lankans faced various challenges. With gratitude I recall the unity shown by all Sri Lankans in facing these challenges. Priority was given to saving lives in 2021 as the country faced the pandemic. We were able to change many lives through the vaccination programme,” the Prime Minister said.
“We have managed to complete development work which was halted for some time even before the pandemic hit our nation. We will ensure that people will get the maximum benefit out of development work during the new year as well,” he added.
The Prime Minister wished all citizens an year in which everyone will win challenges and a year where expectations will come true.
