The trade union action, taken by the Ceylon Petroleum Private Bowser Owners Association (CPPBOA) was called off yesterday evening after having reached a consensus with the CPC Chairman and it would take a maximum of three days to restore the fuel transportation normalcy in the country, the association said.
They said the discussion with the CPC chairman yesterday over their strike and the former agreed to grant 40% of their revision in fares.
Following the increase in fuel prices, private fuel bowser owners demanded a 40% increase to the transporting cost.
The Bowser Association claimed that their annual charge revision will be submitted in due course and the deficit will also be added to that.
They began their strike on Saturday (April 30).
