The Right to Information Commission (RTI) is to take up an appeal filed by Sri Lankan Parliament against the order given by the former to release information on MPs who have declared their assets to a journalist who had requested for them.
Journalist Chamara Sampath requested for the information on MPs who have declared their assets and liabilities in 2018 from Parliament.
The officer in charge of Parliament had refused to provide the information.
Assistant Secretary General Parliament told the Daily Mirror that it is not definite whether a hearing on the appeal will be taken up as arguments have not been filed yet by the parties.
