Railways to resume essential service operations on May 25

Following the Government’s decision to relax travel restrictions on May 25 within the districts, the Railway Department would continue its service by transporting essential services by operating several train services, the Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters’ Union (SLRSMU) said. 

They said six trains have been scheduled to run during the said date. 


Accordingly, the six trains scheduled to run between Ambepussa and Colombo Fort, two trains between Polgahawela and Kandy, four trains between Aluthgama and Maradana, four trains will run between Kochchikade and Colombo Fort, one train between Avissawella and Colombo Fort and one train between Beliatta and Induruwa on May 25, the SLRSMU added.
