Former Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake, who was receiving treatment at the Welikada Prison Hospital was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital yesterday.
Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said the actor-turned-politician was taken to the Orthopaedic Clinic of the National Hospital from the Prison Hospital and was admitted for further treatment.
Earlier, Ramanayake had also undergone treatment at the Karapitiya General Hospital for a knee injury and the doctors at the hospital directed Ramanayake to be admitted to the Orthopaedic Clinic of the CNH.
