The Chinese Embassy had responded positively

State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana said he, along with Chairman of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) Dr. Prasanna, called on the Chinese embassy and asked for the expedition of the supply of another batch of Covid-19 vaccines. 

 
He said he did it at the request of the President, and the Chinese Embassy responded positively.
