Fuel refinery operations at the Sapugaskanda oil refinery will be suspended from today, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Chairman Sumith Wijesinghe said.
He said fuel refinery operations will resume in April after having received adequate stocks of
crude oil.
"Several tenders have been received. If crude oil is received in April continuously, there would be no fuel scarcity in the country," he said. Now the country is getting purified fuel stocks such as petrol, diesel, jet fuel, and kerosene.
The Chairman said this process will continue until sufficient stocks of crude oil are received.
