A schoolboy riding on a motorcycle had received serious injuries in a head-on collision with a double-cab from the opposite direction and died on admission to the Nalanda Hospital in the Matale District.
The victim, Kakulandara Mudiyanselage Pramod Sathsara, was a resident of Penelaboda in Naula and a student of a leading school in the area.
The driver of the double-cab was taken into custody by Naula Police. He was to be produced before the Naula Magistrate.
