Polhena, Heeralugedara, Kaluaggala and Aswennawaththa East GN Divisions in Gampaha District, Miriswatta and Pelanwatta North and East GN Divisions in the Kalutara District and Pumpuhar GN Division in Trincomalee District came under isolation from 8.00 p.m. last night.   

 The Dambulla Economic Centre was also to be isolated with effect from 8.00 p.m. yesterday for two weeks.   
Earlier, it was announced that the Dambulla Economic Centre would remain closed for a period of three days.   
The areas were isolated following the detection of a considerable number of COVID-19 cases from respective areas.   

Army Commander Shavendra Silva said steps would be taken to isolate areas where a fair number of COVID-19 cases were identified.
