Officials from the Elpitiya Special Crimes Investigation Division took custody of a vehicle that had been parked at the car park of the arrival terminal of the Katunayake Airport for a month, police said. The Nissan Bluebird,has been parked at the airport since May 29, 2024 according to police. Investigations have found that the owner of the vehicle was a resident of Ambalangoda. The vehicle was wanted for a ongoing case at the Balapitiya Magistrate’s Court. Officials from the Elpitiya Special Crimes Investigation Division took custody of the vehicle this afternoon after a court order.
