Starting a pre-school without teacher training is a big problem in the country and therefore there is a need to introduce education transformation in the country soon, education minister Susil Premajayantha said recently.
He made this comment addressing the Early Childhood Teacher Training Institute awards ceremony-2023 held at BMICH recently. At the event Chairperson of American Montessori, Child Care & Teacher Training Centre Mrs. Pushpa Aluthgamage was also felicitated for her commitment to Montessori education in Sri Lanka for 23 years. Minister Bandula Gunawardana, MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Vietnam ambassador in Colombo. Thi Thanh Truc graced the occasion.
