State Minister Lanza asks Dayasiri to resign if he does not like his ministry

State Minister for Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure Nimal Lanza, who is perceived be a close confidante of SLPP National Organiser Basil Rajapaksa said, Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara should resign from his post if it were unsuitable for him, making way for another from his party to take over.  

Mr. Lanza made this remark in the wake of Mr. Jayasekara grumbling about the state ministry assigned to him. Mr. Jayasekara said he got one of the funny ministries created.  

Mr. Lanza said, “After Mr. Basil Rajapaksa arrives, he will create a programme that will build the economy of this country and provide relief to the people. We have no problem with that. He is someone who can work and has proven himself. He was a man who looked after the poor people. He was the one who started projects such as Uthuru Wasanthaya, Nagenahira Navodaya and Divi Neguma and worked for the benefit of the poor. When he arrives the economy of this country will be in a good condition. There is no question about that. Everyone is awaiting his arrival.
