A group of seven students of a leading school in Padukka town had been beaten with a broomstick by a teacher and three of them were injured and admitted to Padukka Divisional Hospital.
Police said the group of students had gone to the school canteen when the teacher was taking the class and that they had been beaten by the teacher.
A senior official of Padukka Police said the incident was being investigated and that further action would be taken after investigations.
