Even though the telecommunication companies have decided to revise their charges, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRCSL) yesterday said that they have not given approval for such an increase.
They said that they have not given approval for the increase in the telephone and internet charges announced by the telecommunication companies.
However, all telecommunication companies in the country have decided to revise their charges again from last night with the introduction of the Social Security Contribution Levy (SSCL).
The companies announced that all Pre-Paid and Post-Paid packages, including the Pay TV services, have been revised while adding the new tax rate, which is 2.5%.
The companies also stated that the new fees will be made available on their respective official websites.
