Three 14-year-old female students who attended a tuition class in Yakkala area have been reported missing since Wednesday evening, according to police sources.
The Yakkala Police received one complaint, while the Weeragula Police in the Gampaha District received the other two complaints from the mothers of the missing students.
The students, who are friends studying in grade 9 at a school in Yakkala, did not return home on Wednesday evening. As of yesterday, there has been no information regarding their whereabouts. Investigations are being carried out by the Children and Women’s Bureau and the Criminal Investigation Division of Yakkala and Weeragula Police.
