‘Toll Free’ for ambulances using expressways from today

Chief Government Whip and Highways Minister Johnston Fernando yesterday issued an order not to collect the toll from ambulances using the expressways in view of the pandemic situation prevailing in the country.  

The Minister instructed Secretary to the Ministry of Highways R.W.R. Pemasiri to exempt all ambulances from paying fees for using the expressways, starting from today until further notice. He said that the decision has been made taking into consideration the prevailing situation in the country.
