Two out of three Octane 92 fuel dispensers at a fuel filling station in Colombo were sealed yesterday due to a short delivery of fuel, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) said. They said the filling station was owned by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).
PUCSL Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said the filling stations had saved 1.2 percent of petrol from a litre worth of Rs.5.40 in the filling station.
The raid was conducted as a joint operation of the PUCSL, ITI (Industrial Technology Institute), and Measurement Units, Standards & Services Department yesterday.
