UNP to hold a Satyagraha on the 25th at Hyde Park in Colombo

The United National Party (UNP) has decided to hold a Satyagraha on the 25th of this month, at Hyde Park in Colombo with the objective of reaching a common agreement to change the government.

 “This will not be a political event, but a public show of unity against the growing number of issues in the country plaguing the public. All members of the public are invited to join this event. Don’t come wearing any party colour but come in white, “ UNP Assistant Leader Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said.

“ It is essential that all parties come together and establish a common framework to deliver the nation out of the present crisis. This is not a time to promote various leaders but it is a time to build a common platform to build up the nation” he added. 

“ We hope that all parties will come together in delivering the nation from bitterness and uncertainty,” he also said.
