There is no issue with the ability to conceive a child after receiving the COVID vaccine, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr. Pradeep de Silva said while addressing the media at the Health Promotions Bureau. 

 “The vaccination does  not cause any complications in young women either,” he said. The Doctor said there was no issue in getting the Tetanus and the COVID vaccine simultaneously and said the pregnant women could take both the vaccines.  

“No complications have been reported so far in children born to mothers who have received the COVID vaccine,” Dr. Silva said.
