The body of a woman found in a suitcase in a garbage dump at Mabima in Sapugaskanda has been identified as that of a 44-year old.
Police said the deceased was identified as Mohamed Safiq Fatima, a resident of Maligawatta.The body was found on Thursday with her hands tied and placed in a traveling bag.The woman, a mother of two, has been missing since October 28. Her husband had arrived at the Ragama Hospital and identified the body. The Sapugaskanda Police are conducting an investigation into the murder.
