A programme director of the British-based controversial Channel-4 TV statin arrived in Sri Lanka last morning, state intelligence sources said.
They said the director John Stewart Francis and his wife had bought an apartment at Wellawatte and had come to spend a holiday here.
He had wanted to come to Sri Lanka in 2013 but was turned back from the Katunayake Airport due to security reasons. Sources said he is married to a woman from Jaffna and has contacts with certain factions of the international rump of the LTTE.
Intelligence sources said they would maintain vigilance because he is known to have contributed to the anti-Sri Lanka programmes produced by the Channel-4 earlier.
