4A’s and SLPI certificate in corporate communications and PR third intake begins

Due to the success of the certificate course conducted by the Accredited Advertising Agencies Association (4A’s) in partnership with the Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI), the organizers have announced its third intake starting mid-October. 


With the participation of four experienced industry CEOs, the course focuses on professional hands-on learning with many industry case studies, underpinned by theoretical concepts and methodologies which they share with the students.The course providesan interactive environment valuable to students whether they are novices or more mature practitioners, where they can gain skills needed to succeed in jobs in corporate communications and PR, whether within a consultancy or organization. 
Students from previous batches benefitted from the insight of top experts in these fields, who will be the lecturers this time around as well. The lecture panel includes Founder Chairman of Bates Strategic Alliance - Nimal Gunewardena, CEO of Omnicom Media Group, Sri Lanka - Keith Wijesuriya and Managing Director of Words Advertising - Rohan Rajaratnam. Course Director and President of Spirit & Soul, Adrian Ferdinands, does two inspiring sessions on Personal Branding, which will help students in their professional careers.


Increasingly, Sri Lanka’s companies large and small and its Boards, CEOs and Marketing and Communications Heads have come to appreciate the value of managing corporate reputation and the evolving role of social media in this regard. Marketers are seeing the value of using PR as a complementary marketing weapon as against the traditional reliance primarily on advertising. Course modules include PR strategy development, media relations and release writing, crisis and issues management, social media, corporate branding & positioning, audiences and content, internal communications, CSR and personal branding.
