ACCA signs MoU with HRP

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Sri Lanka, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Association of HR Professionals (HRP) to promote further collaboration in areas of common interest and mutual value to students and the business industry at large.
The MoU entails coming together of the largest accounting body and the leading association for human resources in the country responsible for providing professional development, knowledge and ideas to establish and promote HRM as a dominant force in the business sector. 
ACCA and HRP will be working in tandem with each other to provide a synergy, that will allow both bodies to continue to partner on mutually beneficial research and technical issues, as well as professional development and networking events and opportunities. The main aim of the MoU is to strengthen and offer better opportunities to the students in Sri Lanka to forge 
lucrative careers.
HRP President Chiranthi Cooray said, “Signing the MoU with ACCA marks a significant milestone for the HRP. This MoU paves the way for two important professional disciplines to make blend synergistic efforts towards continuous professional development of accountants and HR professionals. Talent and leadership development of professional features high in both agendas of ACCA and HRP.”
ACCA Sri Lanka Head Nilusha Ranasinghe stated, “ACCA is pleased to build on our relationship with HRP. The signing of this MoU signifies our commitment to develop a number of future collaborations with them. ACCA believes that organisational performance will greatly improve if there is a good synergy between HR and finance and we believe MoUs such as this will simply help to further strengthen this cause.”
