CIM creating awareness about ‘Role of Marketing’

The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sri Lanka conducted another awareness programme among the Sales and Marketing executives of Union Bank and DFCC Bank recently. 


The session at DFCC Bank was conducted by Mohamad Adamaly, Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court / Senior Lecturer of Marketing and the session at Union Bank was conducted by Kishali Mendis, Manager Educational Services, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sri Lanka. CIM Sri Lanka has been conducting many corporate promotion programs for this year with the objective of educating employees of selected corporate entities about the CIM qualification and how it helps the learner to meet the ever increasing demands expected of marketers. 


Focusing on the educational aspirations of the Academic Students, CIM conducted its 2nd career guidance programme for this year at Vidura College under the theme “Skills Development”. The programme was conducted by Dayan L. Fernando Management Consultant/ Corporate Trainer. The timely topic was targeted at the A/L students of Vidura College who are at the verge of stepping into tertiary education with the ambition to become successful Corporates.  


Sumudu Thanthirigoda, Head of Education stated that ‘CIM will continuously go the extra mile to identify needs of Academic Students and Corporates in terms of career planning and development and assist them in every possible way to reach greater heights in their professional career’.   The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK is the world’s largest professional body for Marketing. CIM Sri Lanka is the first international branch of CIM UK comprising the largest number of members, both professional and students of CIM outside the UK; 1,800 student members and over 1,000 professional members respectively. The regional institute has always campaigned for greater recognition and excellence in the Marketing profession in Sri Lanka, through education, training, and professional development.
