PM to deliver keynote at Sri Lanka Human Capital Summit in August

The Sri Lanka Human Capital is a public-private initiative between the National Human Resource Development Council of Sri Lanka (NHRDC), Employers’ Federation of Ceylon and Association of HR Practitioners (AHRP) supported by the International labour Organisation (ILO), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank (WB) to develop a national agenda to discuss and find solutions to some of the critical human resource challenges facing Sri Lanka  in key sectors like tourism, manufacturing, construction, foreign employment, logistics and services. 


This summit will also serve as a precursor for the Sri Lanka Human Capital Round table in November.
NHRDC Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody said the theme of the summit is ‘Towards a future ready workforce’ and is expected to bring together some of the best education and HR experts in the WB, ADB, ILO and business leaders in the region.


The summit will be in held on August 11 and 12 at Taj Samudra Hotel Colombo and the keynote will be delivered by Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe. The summit is expected to bring together leading thought leaders in HR and industry to provide strategic perspectives and unparalleled insights into how Sri Lanka must and should address its current and future human capital challenges.
