Airtel Lanka shines at SLIM NASCO Awards 2015

Airtel frontline’s strategies and market instincts were commended when  Airtel Sales Team won two awards at the prestigious NASCO Awards 2015  (one of the main events of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing  calendar), which recognizes sales excellence by rewarding some of the best sales personnel in the country .

Bharti Airtel, the world’s third largest mobile operator (in terms of subscribers), serving over 330 million customers in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, announced that two of its managers attached to Airtel Lanka were adjudged winners in the Telecommunications category at the recently concluded SLIM NASCO Awards 2015.  

Airtel prized the Silver and Bronze awards in the Telecommunication sector in the Territory Manager category. While the Silver was won by Manager SME Isfar Anwardeen, the Bronze was won by Manager SME Channel Management Ashey Sahabdeen. Commenting on their achievement Bharti Airtel Lanka Chief Executive Officer Jinesh Hegde stated, “We are extremely proud that two of our managers have won this distinction at national level and we hope that their success will motivate all sales personnel to strive for sales excellence across markets.  These accolades are indeed a reflection of enhanced market instincts and dynamic sales strategies that Airtel Lanka incorporates in a highly competitive and dynamic marketing environment. SLIM NASCO 2015 - the premier event in Sri Lanka that recognizes sales excellence and rewards and motivates sales professionals to achieve greater heights, gave out awards to over 15 diverse business sectors. In addition to Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, the best female was also recognized in each category. All area/territory managers, sales supervisors/executives and sales representatives/front-liners were entitled to participate. The 2015 event saw over 350 applicants vying for honours this year.
