Hameedia honours top performers at Executive Leadership Night 2015

Hameedia recently hosted ‘Executive Leadership Night 2015’, at the Envoy Mansion, to recognise and honour 200 of its top-performing employees from 2015. Executive Leadership Night 2015 was celebrated with a gala event at the prestigious Envoy Mansion with the company’s top performers, management and members from the retail, manufacturing and support services in attendance. The unveiling of Hameedia’s vision and business plan for 2016 was another highlight of the night. Long-standing staff members from retail, management and service sectors were also recognised and rewarded for their years of unwavering commitment towards the company. The dawn of the year was also commemorate by all Hameedia branches across Sri Lanka by boiling milk and making a pledge to ‘fight for the best, to continue the best and will be the best. Yes we can and we will.’
One of the most important announcements of the night was that the Group Management Committee (GMC) comprising of General Manager Operations Chinthaka Wanigasekara, Head of Business Development and Corporate Communications Ameer Hamza, F i n a n c e Manager Nilushi Dissanayake and HS Marketing General Manager Indika Perera will overlook all operational aspects of Hameedia with the exit of Deputy Managing Director Hussain Sadique. Commenting on of the way forward in 2016, Sadique quoted, Sarah Ban Breathnach, “New Year’s Day. A fresh start, a new chapter in life waiting to be written. New questions to be asked, embraced and loved. Answers to be discovered and then lived in th i s transformative year of delight and self-discovery. Today, carve out a quiet interlude for yourself in which to dream, pen in hand. Only dreams give birth to change.’ He further stated, “Every staff member is a gift to our family at Hameedia’s. We take care of our staff who are responsible for taking care of our esteemed customers. At Hameedia, a customer is not just a customer. We want to support the men to be real men by the way they dress, behave and look, thereby inspiring others to be like them.”
