Nikita wins Smith College S. Mona Ghosh Sinha Prize

Nikita Samaratunga, who graduated recently from Smith College, Northampton, Masachusetts with a B.A. in Government and a minor in Global South Development Studies, was awarded the prestigious S. Mona Ghosh Sinha Prize, given annually for the best academic paper written by a Smith College undergraduate on a subject that concerns South Asia. Her paper was titled ‘Great Power Rivalry in the Indian Ocean: The Sri Lankan Perspective’. Nikita Samaratunga is seen in the picture with the President of Smith College.
