Virtusa, a global provider of digital engineering and IT services, recently hosted a media roundtable in Colombo to highlight Sri Lanka’s significance as a key strategic geography for the company.

The roundtable was headed by Virtusa Vice President and Global Head of Corporate Marketing Roch Ferreira, who emphasised the integral role Sri Lanka plays as a talent destination along with opportunities for collaboration with global sustainability leaders based out of Colombo.

“Sri Lanka is a key important geography for us and we continue to sort of make sure that we keep it as a significant geography. We are excited about the opportunities (our initiatives) brought to our clients and our talented team here in Sri Lanka,” Ferreira said.

He also noted that Sri Lanka has seen very encouraging results in terms of its emerging industry and described Sri Lanka’s talent pool operates at an “awesome level”.

Moreover, Sri Lankan professionals, who are Virtusa alumni in its ‘Campus to CXO’ initiative, hold significant roles across various sectors, according to Ferreira.
