Tel Aviv (dpa) 17 Jan - A top US official has denied an Israeli media report which reveals purported details of US President Donald Trump’s undisclosed Middle East peace plan.

Channel 13 reported Wednesday night that the plan includes the establishment of a Palestinian state on 85 to 90 per cent of West Bank territory.
It also stated that the plan includes land swaps between the Israelis and Palestinians, Israeli annexation of large settlement blocs and the evacuation of some illegal settlement outposts.   Isolated settlements would not be evacuated but no further building would be permitted in them in order to “dry them out,” it said.

According to the reported plan, holy sites, including the Old City of Jerusalem and surrounding areas, would remain under Israeli sovereignty but would be jointly run together with the Palestinians, Jordan and perhaps other countries.   Palestinians strongly object to Israeli sovereignty over the Old City.
