Customer Service

Customer service is the support you offer your customers, both before and after they buy and use your products or services which helps them have an easy and enjoyable experience with you. Today’s customer service goes far beyond the traditional telephone support agent. It is available by way of email, web, text message and social media. Many companies also provide self-service support, so customers can find their own answers at any time day or night. Customer support is more than just providing answers; it is an important part of the promise your brand makes to its customers.

Customer service has dropped to an all-time low in this country. One would expect that with the pandemic and the financial crunch faced by many there would be people around to grab every bit of work or business that comes their way. It just does not seem so. Try ordering a product, making a reservation or seeking some information and a wave of despair descends on you.   For instance, place an order for a purchase and the establishment does not even bother to acknowledge it.  We understand many intend to run away from this country but surely there must be people around with a basic education who can answer a phone to provide the requested information.
It is such a pleasure when one can deal with efficient persons in the customer service departments. Hotels, especially where one must speak well, politeness and efficiency are necessary.

If proper customer service is not provided the crumbling of the business, is the result. The owners may not be even aware of the issue unless someone known to them complains personally to them and they take appropriate action.  At times this is too late.

The big issue over here is mostly the arrogance combined with the ignorance of these individuals. Anyone who has been successful in employing an ultra efficient customer service or public relations person should treasure them or else be assured that the business will crumble to the ground and may be too late
to resurrect.
