The world attention was focused on Kosgoda with its pioneering sea turtle conservation projects launched by passionate naturalists in the early eighties.  Since then it has become a prime turtle nesting and releasing station, which attracts thousands of Sri Lankan and foreign tourists making Kosgoda a destination status.
With the launch of globally renowned Sheraton brand in February 2020 in ‘Naape’, Kosgoda, global eyes turned on this sleepy village not only for popular ‘Turtle Conservation’ Projects, but for the pristine beach with dreamy sunsets too. ‘Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort’ offers a superior service and iconic dining and sophisticated spaces to the smart travel enthusiast.
