‘Villa Hundira’ prioritises the food and beverage experience, offering different dining options. Each room or villa has a space for dining, that gives enough privacy to the guests. The main restaurant and bar are located on the ground floor close to the main pool offering a choice of indoor or outdoor dining options for a ‘real destination dining experience’. ‘Guests can also enjoy a fusion of cuisine including spicy Sri Lankan flavours. Dining outdoors is an option here, either soaking the sun or with candlelight and soft music accompanying curated meals after dark’ Janaka said.
‘For fusion cuisine, our Executive Chef Ayesh and his team will ensure that guests experience the finest flavours of the Island and beyond. Italian, French, Thai and Sri Lankan style cuisines are popular with our guests.’
‘Apart from that, guests can go on excursions to Negombo. The ‘Villa Hundira’ is only a fifteen minute bike ride to Negombo’s old colonial Fort and main fish market- Lellama, which is a highlight of the old quarter’ Manager Janaka said.
At ‘Villa Hundira’, guests may enjoy fishing or rent a bicycle to explore the area. Village walk, visiting a traditional ‘pola’ and boat rides in the lagoon are popular activities of holiday makers. Other places of interest in and around Negombo include the famous ‘beach’, the Dutch Canal and the Muthurajawela Marsh.
‘We offer a true ‘Villa holiday’ to our discerning traveller. You are known by name and not by room number. It’s where you would be treated with true traditional Sri Lankan hospitality by our friendly staff’ Janaka added.
