Former Environment Minister of Norway and Presidential Advisor on Climate issues Erik Solheim yesterday met Presidential Advisor Ruwan Wijewardene yesterday where the duo discussed climate issues faced by Sri Lanka.
The meeting took place after Mr. Solheim met President Ranil Wickremesinghe and accepted the Advisor’s post.
The main focus of the discussion has been climate effects which Sri Lanka might have to face in the future and how the nation could get international assistance to minimize the risks.
Secretary Ministry of Environment Dr. Anil Jasinghe and Former MP and Sri Lankan representative Climate Summit Sandith Samarasinghe also participated in the discussion.
