Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Yingbao presents a study pack to one of the students of Maduwa Vidyalaya Balapitiya.
The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka started the new year with the distribution of 500 study packs worth Rs 3.5 million to needy students in Sri Lanka with the assistance of the Sri Lanka China Society.
Under this programme each student received Rs 7000 worth of necessary school items, according Jinith de Silva, President of the Sri Lanka China Society.
Several days ago, Sri Lanka China Society distributed study packs at Maduwa school located in an island on the Madu River in Balapitiya with the participation of Zhang Yingbao Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China as Chief Guest. All 94 students of this school received study packs.
