Bharatha Lanka Foundation renews spirits at Annual General Meeting

The foundation was founded by late T.M. Sangadasa to promote the appreciation of old Hindi and Sinhala film songs

The Bharatha Lanka Foundation was founded on a concept by late T.M. Sangadasa on June 10, 2008 to promote the appreciation of old Hindi and Sinhala film songs. The special Annual General Meeting of the foundation was held on March 20 at the Western Province Aesthetic Resort under the auspices of Mr. W. H. Munasinghe.  

The future plans of the foundation and reorienting towards the organization’s founding goals were discussed at this meeting. President M. B. Samarasinghe, Vice President Buddhi Keerthisena, General Secretary S. T. Kalubandara, Treasurer I. N. D. P. Jayantha, Chief Organizer Wijebandara Senevirathna and Additional Secretary Premarathna Samaranayake were present at the event.  

Advisors to the Foundation, Sunil Sarath Perera, Sujatha Aththanayake, Bandula Jayasinghe, Palitha Gunawardena, T. G. Rankan de Silva, Siri Kahwala, C. Thenuwara, Pamitha R. Liyanage, Channa De Silva, Haseem Omar, Saman Kumara Gunawardana, Siri Weera Gamage and Jayantha Aravinda were appointed.
