The 109th death anniversary of Edward Henry Pedris was commemorated near his statue in Havelock Town on July 7, 2024.
The immediate family and relatives of this national hero attended the event and paid floral tributes to his statue.
The event was graced by the presence of members of the clergy including Chief incumbent of Sugatha Dakshinarama temple Ven. Kanumuldeniye Sudhamma and several dignitaries including former defence minister Anura Bastian and attorney-at-law C. Wimaladharma Jayalath Pedris.
