HSBC Sri Lanka, in collaboration with A-PAD Sri Lanka brought the true spirit of Christmas to life with a heartwarming Christmas Carnival dedicated to children in need.
The Christmas Carnival held on December 12 and 13 at the Girls’ Friendly Society in Colombo, welcomed children from three selected homes: Community Concern, Sri Jinananda Children’s Development Centre and Meth Mihira Special Education Center. This festive event was designed not only to spread joy and cheer, but to foster a sense of community and inclusivity during this holiday season.
The day began with a magical twist as a magician wowed the children with tricks that sparked wonder and excitement. The engaging show not only entertained the children but also encouraged their imagination, as they eagerly guessed how the tricks were done.
It was followed by a lively Just Dance session, where kids joined by volunteers danced to the latest tunes, showing off their best moves. The carnival also featured a lively kids’ disco, where children danced to their favorite songs in a colorful, music-filled atmosphere. The upbeat dance party was a perfect way to end the day, with children expressing pure joy and excitement. The event culminated with the volunteers handing over carefully curated gift packs to each child along with a sweet snack bag. The event not only provided entertainment but also created lasting memories for the children, making this Christmas celebration one they will never forget.

Dressed as Santa Claus and with festive spirits high, volunteers worked alongside A-PAD SL team to bring the event to life.
