Help needed to conduct bone marrow transplant

Piyaratne is studying at Wariyapola Sri Gnanodaya National School and preparing to sit for the Advanced Level Examination in the Biological Science stream

 

K.M Supul Viraj Piyarathne is suffering from Central Nervous System (CNS) Lymphoma and has been advised to undergo an elective Bone Marrow Transplant by Dr. Pradeep Siriwardena, Consultant Haemato-Oncologist after a clinical and laboratory evaluation. 


Piyaratne is studying at Wariyapola Sri Gnanodaya National School and preparing to sit for the Advanced Level Examination in the Biological Science stream. 
The approximate estimated cost for the transplant is LKR. 5,000,000 (5 Million). The transplant has to be done in a private hospital as the Bone Marrow Transplant facility is unavailable in Sri Lankan public hospitals. 


This surgery is not a fixed package transplant and charges can vary according to the patient pre & post-operative condition, according to Dr. Pradeep Siriwardena.
