Kabir Hashim, former Parliamentarian for the Kegalle District and Chair of the Global Parliamentarian Forum for Evaluation, has been invited as an esteemed panelist at the 8th ‘National Evaluation Capacities (NEC) Conference 2024’.
The event will be held from October 14 to 18 in Yanqing District, Beijing, China, and is organised by the UNDP Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) in collaboration with the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) and the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI).
The NEC conference, now in its eighth edition, gathers international leaders, policymakers, and evaluation experts under the theme “Responsive Evaluation: For Government, For Inclusion, For the Future.”
The focus of this year’s event is on the critical role of national evaluation systems in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other global development targets. Participants will explore innovative technologies and methodologies in evaluation, and how these advancements can further promote inclusive development and responsive governance.
Kabir Hashim’s role as a panelist highlights his growing influence on the global stage, particularly in the field of evaluation and governance. As Chair of the Global Parliamentarian Forum for Evaluation, Hashim has been instrumental in advocating for stronger accountability and transparency mechanisms in governance.
