H E Qi Zhenhong Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China handing over the first scholarship to a student while Jinith de Silva, Sri Lanka China Society President, looks on.
Recently the Sri Lanka China Society organised the presenting of scholarships jointly with Devi Balika Vidyalaya at the school’s auditorium.
These scholarships are granted by Hangzhou Caihe No 03 Primary school in China.
The Chief guest at the function was H E Qi Zhenhong the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Sri Lanka.
Zhang Yingbao, Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese embassy, and Pradeepa Amarasinghe the Principal of Devi Balika Vidyalaya Colombo also participated at the event.
