Sri Lanka China Society has started the distribution of offerings made by Amity Foundation and Alibaba Philanthropy which have come in the form of scholarships worth Rs 9 Million to selected needy students in Sri Lanka.
According to Sri Lanka China Society President Jinith de Silva these scholarships have been distributed to children from 12 schools. Each student received: a cash donation of Rs 18000, an essential pack worth Rs 3000 and household items worth Rs 3000.
Sri Lanka China Society highly appreciates the support given by the Amity Foundation in Nanjing to help the needy students in the island.
