In a splendid event full of memories, the Wesley College Old Boys Union headed by Capt. Navin de Silva, organised a special celebration to honour its esteemed and Iconic alumni, signalling the commencement of the much looked forward to sesquicentennial festivities. 


The event was rolled out at the charming 164-year-old Principal’s Bungalow, which majestically glorified Karlsruhe’s Gardens magnificent history. The highlight was a Classic Lawn Ceremony against the timeless backdrop of the colonial architecture, transporting everyone to Wesley’s past. The evening’s highpoint featured the prestigious Presidential Awards of Excellence, recognizing individuals who embody distinction and unwavering commitment to Wesley’s legacy. Each awardee was commended for upholding the school’s cherished values. The ceremony also spotlighted outstanding accomplishments of Wesley College alumni, showcasing diverse achievements and impactful contributions. The event was graced by Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy as the Chief Guest, adding an aura of distinction. Rev. Ebenezer Joseph, the Head of The Methodist Church embellished the ceremony, emphasising the spiritual connection with the traditional heritance of Wesley accompanied by the PrincipalAvanka Fernando. Selecting the Principal’s Bungalow impeccably suited the occasion adding a historical touch that echoed with the legacy of generations past. As Wesleyites gathered to honour their alma mater and remarkable alumni, the event became a symbol of pride and inspiration for the future.
