The first copy of the book tittle ‘Kalu Jeewithath Wati’ ( Black Lives Matter), written by Veteran Journalist Sarath Lal Kumara was handed over to the former UN Under Secretary General, Dr. Jayantha Dhanapala at his residence in Kandy. ‘Black Lives Matter’ is a decentralised movement in the United States advocating for non-violent civil disobedience in protest against incidents of police brutality and all racially motivated violence against African-American people. Since the death of George Floyd, ‘Black Lives Matter’ protests across the world had sparked-off renewed debates on racism. The book ‘Black Lives Matter’ was published by the Russian Publications.
