Former Presidential Adviser Rosy Senanayake yesterday urged the incumbent Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya to secure the dollars 9 million grant offered by Korea International Cooperation Agency to set up an automated rate collection system for the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC).

“ The grant was offered to us some time back and I informed former Prime minister Dinesh Gunawardena to get it. He worked on it. However an official from KOICA has informed me that Sri Lanka might lose it again. Therefore I request the incumbent Prime minister to talk to KOICA and secure it. This is important as an automated rate collection system will help prevent corruption,” she said.

“ I am happy to see a woman Prime minister emerging in Sri Lanka once again. I wish her well and hope she will work for the betterment of the people.
