The Government is working out arrangements to telecast lessons for the benefit of schoolchildren during closure, a Minister said yesterday.
Education Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris told Daily Mirror the logistical arrangements were being taken for it. He said the re-opening of schools had been postponed for two weeks, and the telecasts of classroom lessons were aimed at mitigating the impact of lock-down on children’s education.
Asked about schools without facilities for online education, he said it would be looked into.
Earlier, the schools were scheduled to be re-opened next Monday. However, postponement was made due to the pandemic.
