In order to recognize and encourage the employees, improve their living standards and provide them opportunities for career development, the Management of Certis Lanka named the year 2016 as the ‘Human Resources Development Year’ under the tag line of ‘shaping people for the future.’ During this year special training programmes are being conducted for the employees and employees are also provided advice on their health. A special feature this year was the inauguration of the Medical and Distress Fund for the employees and their immediate families. The medical and distress fund was inaugurated at our 39th Anniversary Celebrations held at the BMICH under the distinguished patronage of Honorable Sagala Ratnayake Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development. Rupees 25 million which Certis Lanka hopes to raise for this purpose, will be deposited In a bank and the Rs.2,5 million interest per annum which is anticipated will be utilized to disburse the much needed medical and distress funds for the employees. Another feature was awarding scholarships to 62 children of employees for their A Level and University studies which they received at the special ceremony. The 39th Anniversary celebrations was culminated by presentation of awards to the Best Security Officer, Driver, Nurse Aide, Courier, Supervisor and other high performers.
A health and Eye Camp for employees over 40 years of age has been planned in the month of November as another noteworthy feature in this ‘Human Resources Development Year’.
Prior to the launching of the Medical and Distress fund , the company provided various welfare benefits such as death donation, Ge Dora Shana ( special loan scheme) , special assistance during illness for the employees and their immediate families and scholarships to their children. Also employees could select and follow study programmes for their career development and a 25% grant on the course fee is provided to them. An annual sports festival and an avurudu ulela is also held to provide an opportunity to the employees to show their talents.
Certis Lanka has not failed in their Corporate Social Responsibility and has given assistance to flood victims in remote areas, conducted medical camps and provided assistance to Elders and Children’s homes.

In their expansion plan Certis Lanka has commenced on a new project in Wadduwa, to open an addiction treatment retreat to treat drug and alcohol addicts. The target market will be Foreigners and this will earn much needed foreign exchange to the country. Certis Lanka also plans to open a Branch in North of Colombo and 4 sub offices in the year 2017.
