Offered at Rs 5,000 reflecting a discount of 25 per cent, this package includes medical consultation and a complete physical examination and tests such as Body Mass Index (BMI), Visual Acuity, Fasting Blood Sugar, HbA1C, Full Blood Count, Lipid Profile, Urine Full Report, Urine for Microalbumin, Serum Creatinine & GFR, ECG, SGPT, and a discussion of the reports with a medical officer.
In addition, visitors who obtain the package will receive a free Total Foot Assessment for vascular and neurological complications usually costing Rs 2,500, a refraction test for the eyes that is normally priced at Rs 500, a dental check-up costing Rs 750, 10 per cent off on footcare services and a50 per cent discount on the purchase of a Glucometer from the Centre.
A second package of tests designed for pre-diabetics, will be offered at Rs 3,000 in May, at a discount of 20 per cent, the Centre said. This package consists of medical consultation including a complete physical examination and tests such as Body Mass Index (BMI), Visual Acuity, Fasting Blood Sugar, Lipid Profile, HbA1C, Urine Full Report and a discussion of the reports with a medical officer.
Purchasing this second package entitles the visitor to a free refraction test, a 50 per cent discount on the purchase of a Glucometer and a free dental consultation.
“Given the rapidly increasing prevalence of diabetes in Sri Lanka, undergoing periodic tests of this nature is advisable to enable those at risk to make the necessary lifestyle changes to prevent diabetes or to effectively manage the condition,” said Dr Charuky Weerasuriya, Chief Medical Officer at the Ceylinco Diabetes Centre. “Our special packages have been designed specifically to make a definitive assessment of each individual’s risk factors.”
