German brand, Owa acoustic and metal ceilings were launched in Sri Lanka recently by its sole agent Creations Master Builders (Pvt.) Ltd, which consists of a range of metal ceilings with different designs and sound absorption coefficient.
It introduced three categories namely Owa Consult collection, Owa Lifetime collection and Owa Tecta collection.
It was noted that it has high-performance characteristics such as fire protection, sound protection, moisture resistance, cooling and hygiene.
Chief guest Commonwealth Association of Architects President Architect Roshan Widyalankara said that he is pleased to see high standard and high-performance products coming to this part of the world.
“In Sri Lanka, we, architects, are fortunate to be able to use many good products. In that context, I’m glad to see high-performance ceilings of this nature in the market,” he said.
Owa Sales General Manager Roman Klis said that they have got a new friend in Sri Lanka, through this launch.
As the sound absorption is high in this product, it was highlighted that it diminishes destructive noise level considerably, especially in office spaces.
It was noted that Owa mineral tiles are available with many surfaces and different installation systems and are therefore suitable for ceiling systems in offices and call centres as well as restaurants, hospitals, hotels, shops, stadiums or educational facilities.
Further, it was mentioned that Owa mineral tiles are made of pure, biodegradable mineral wool and other natural components and they are free of formaldehyde and other harmful substances and pose no threat to the environment or health.
Designed by architect Hadi Teherani, Owa ceiling products are available in more than 60 countries at present.
Creations Master Builders (Pvt.) Ltd is also the sole agent for Kronotex laminated wooden flooring from Swiss, Krono from Germany, SlipDoctors anti-slippery products from the USA and Bergo multi-sports flooring from Sweden.
It revealed that it would be launching another product for out decking and wall cladding shorty.
Also present at the event were representatives from the German embassy including Deputy Ambassador Dr. Micheal Dohmen, Owa Germany Exports Manager Beate Harth Franz and many other distinguished guests.
