Leading property portal Lamudi Lanka (Pvt) Ltd successfully launched its second real estate expo in Sri Lanka which was held at the Taj Samudra Hotel recently.

With many of the country’s top real estate companies on board, Lamudi was able to provide the thousands of visitors who walked in with an unforgettable experience during this two day convention.
It all began with Lamudi’s first real estate expo, which took place in May earlier this year. Following overwhelmingly positive feedback from the first expo, and due to continuous high demand for real estate properties, Lamudi decided to hold a second expo.

Sri Lanka’s real estate industry is currently experiencing rapid expansion. Many well-known developers and agents are coming on board to offer new residential and commercial facilities to satisfy the growing demand. Even though Lamudi operates as an online portal for real estate, the company observed that many property seekers and investors do not have access to the internet. This led the company to take a step forward by creating an in person platform that simplifies the process of purchasing property. This type of convention will help property developers and suppliers to provide better services, helping their prospective buyers by bringing them together under one roof.
Lamudi’s second real estate expo marked a milestone in the real estate culture of the country thanks to all its sponsors and exhibitors. Exhibitors included Aitken Spence, Walkers CML Properties, Capital Trust, Prime Lands, Regal Properties, The Flemington, and Ceylon Investment Group. All of these exhibitors showcased their latest projects to all who visited their stall.

Lamudi’s official telecommunication partner, Etisalat, presented their various packages, including their corporate package, to visitors. Commercial bank and Standard Chartered bank joined hands with Lamudi to provide property seekers and buyers with home loan information and advice on mortgages. Residential and commercial property seekers were offered a personalised service; they were able to speak to the banks directly regarding their home loan and mortgage requirements.

In addition to the sponsors mentioned above, ICC, Dynasty, Glorious Residencies and Blue Ocean contributed to the success of the two-day event. Iconic residential tower, Altair attracted many interested buyers due to its unique design and luxurious facilities. Dusit Thani also presented their luxury apartments to potential investors. Meanwhile, Havelock City displayed their impressively designed Phase 03 towers, Melford and Stratford. Thousands of visitors were provided with the golden opportunity to explore these projects in the form of a 3D model.

The success of Lamudi’s second real estate expo and fantastic feedback from exhibitors and visitors both prove that Sri Lanka’s real estate industry has great potential. This two-day event has shown that many Sri Lankans, foreign residents, and local expats are showing a keen interest in the country’s real estate. Lamudi intends to host many similar events in the future in order to continue contributing to Sri Lanka’s real estate boom.
